A new cast of characters has given the Wolverines’ tough D new life, as they beat Inglemoor 67-41 in a nonleague matchup and held the Vikings to their fewest points in a game this season.
The undefeated Wolverines (11-0) have become the team to beat, ranking No. 1 in the state in Class 3A, and No. 18 nationally, according to MaxPreps’ Xcellant 25. They also won the Nike Tournament of Champions in Arizona in December.
Bellevue has newcomers in the starting rotation, point guard Anna Wilson, who has made an impact immediately.
Wilson, whose older brother Seahawk Russell Wilson was in the crowd tonight, scored 13 points.

The Wolverines ran a full-court press the entire game, forcing 24 turnovers.
Inglemoor head coach Kristina Shumacher said the Vikings had not faced a defense to that caliber yet this season.
“Their players have quick reaction time,” said Shumacher, who’s in her first year at the helm. “They anticipate really well. They work well together on the press, and I think we handled it ok, but it’s definitely some room for improvement for us.”
