As the Southridge girls basketball team prepared for its Metro League rematch with Mountainside, players heard the rumors.

Cameron Brink, the former Skyhawks star whose seemingly sudden decision over the summer to transfer down the road to the new school, might not be able to play in Tuesday’s second meeting between the teams.
